Collection 09
Reading Room
Long tables, tall shelves, and light coming down from high windows. Every frame was made on available light alone, waiting for the hour the sun clears the building opposite and actually reaches the table.
Old reading rooms are built for light from above and nothing else. That single direction does all the work: it separates the shelves into bands, it fills the table, and it leaves the aisles dark enough to hide in.
Everything here was shot on available light. The only intervention was waiting for the right hour, when the sun clears the building opposite and the light actually reaches the table.
