Film Street

Grey pavements, closed shutters, and grain that was not added later. The aim was to shoot the city as it behaves — blurred edges, layered reflections, light that shifts between one frame and the next.

A street set with the shutter too slow and the grain left in. The intention was to shoot the city the way it actually behaves — blurred edges, layered reflections, light that changes between one frame and the next.

Most of these were made in twenty minutes on the way to somewhere else, which is the only realistic way to photograph a street. Two frames here are the second attempt after the first was ruined by a passer-by.
