The Cold Coast and After

The third set follows one subject from soft-focus closeness out to country roads and the warm haze of late summer.

This sitting starts close. A soft-focus frame, then the green hush of a greenhouse, then a rooftop at dusk with the city bokeh behind. The subject stays still while the light does the moving, and the result feels less like a portrait and more like a held breath.

From there we go outward: an empty dirt road with fields around it, long dry grass in late-summer light, daylight by a tall window, and open air with a clear horizon. The set closes in a sunlit courtyard, light summer clothes, warm high sun and soft shadows - a gentle answer to where the day began.

Each frame is generated and then colour-graded by hand, sequenced so the set flows from intimacy to openness. The subject is a fictional adult (18+); no real likeness is used.
