A Morning in Linen

Eight frames of one subject, moving from a white room at first light to the cold, empty edge of the off-season shore.

We began before the heat arrived. A bare white room, a linen shirt, and the first hour of daylight coming through a sheer curtain - the kind of light that asks for very little and gives a great deal. From there the same subject was carried, almost reluctantly, through rain on glass, a corner table in a small cafe, and the long quiet of an old reading room.

By the end of the sitting the mood had turned. A garden wall in flat overcast, a coat against a grey sea with no sun, a narrow balcony among potted plants, and finally the low winter sun with its long shadows. Eight frames, one face, a single day's worth of weather held inside four walls and then let out again.

Every frame is generated, then finished by hand: graded for colour, cropped, and ordered so the set reads as one continuous study rather than a grid. The subject is a fictional adult (18+); no real person's likeness is used.
